Get ready for higher Gasoline, heating and energy costs, and OBTW this will make the need to drill in widerness preserves a top priority.... What a load of crap! OPEC still hasnt raised its production of crude since the last "slowdown"! :|

Good thing I'm not driving or paying for heat for the time being while I'm working and living in the big city.

Damn them to hell. This will be the last year I own my SUV anyway, after that it's a car all the way. OPEC is just screwing themselves. With the higher gas rates, it'll help spur research into other ways of powering cars and what not. In time, we'll be free of OPEC's rule and be rid of them (still a long while away, but this is definitely speeding things up). So anyway, where's that Sterling engine? Where's Kamen?

I think if these oil prices will help get more SUV's off the road and get more fuel efficient cars, it might be a good thing.
I think hybrids and fuel cells will take over in the next decade, and this kind of price pressure will help that.

I hate seeing too many humans. They are also using up too many of our resources.

Yeah humans... get off the internet! You're slowing it down for me.

I bet GW is starting to wonder whether Al Gore was the real winner.

<< lets invade and take over the middle east. problem solved. >>

Never mind the fact that we don't get much oil from there.

Yeah, it sucks that we're gonna have to pay higher prices for energy.... but.... there's nothing wrong with what OPEC is doing. It's economics, we demand it, they supply it, they control the supply (to an extent) and so they set the price point. What's wrong with that? Wouldn't any business do the same?? Doesn't MS control the price for their products (within limits of course)?? Is it OPEC's fault that we need to purchase something they have? It's our own fault for being energy wasteful and not pushing harder for energy alternatives.....

i blame the oil cartel...

if things went right, we would be MUCH less dependent on "oil" than we are now...
