Not sure if this is worth getting for a friend or not. The DVI (only) output is rather limiting, and I don't know if it's DVI-D DL or SL, or whether using a DVI-to-HDMI will let it do 4K UHD display output over the converted HDMI port. (Some Intel iGPUs will, on some motherboards, at least under Linux.)

I would hate to be limited to 1080P in this day and age. (After getting some 40" 4K screens a couple of years ago.)

But it seems like a good price. The current cheapest RX 570 4GB card, is a Gigabyte, for $139.99 after a $20 MIR. So this is around half of the price, before rebate.

Just VERY LIMITED on display output(singular).

Of course, if you're still mining on these, then they are "limit 20 per customer". (OK, I admit it, I am still mining, but I'm unsure if I would spend MORE on mining cards, given the decline in output - under $0.40 USD / day for one of these cards.)

Oh, and the listing doesn't say "used" or "refurbished" anywhere, so I presume that these are NEW for this price.

Edit: Yep, SOLD OUT. Wonder if miners bought them (in qty), or gamers looking for a cheap card. (It was as cheap as a 2GB GT1030, and FAR superior for gaming.)
Edit: Back in stock.
Edit: OOS, "Not Available". May not be restocked?

8GB model also available, for $129.99. Cheaper than the cheapest RX 570 4GB card, by like $10. :p

Thanks. Do you think that this is overkill for an AM2+ mobo with PCI-E 2.0 (I hope!), and an Athlon II X4 640 (3.0Ghz quad-core)? Was thinking of either this, or the EVGA GTX 1050 3GB on ebay from EVGA for $129.99. (Was $109.99 earlier this week, the first time that they had it in stock.)

I think this is a solid budget buy at $90, and would be the one I went with in that price range.

Thanks, I picked one up, and a DVI-D cable, along with that $69.99 Acer LCD 21.5" 1080P HDMI / DVI / VGA monitor (no speakers).

From SD:
The model is 11256-28-21G
Looked it up, its name is Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 470 Mining (UEFI) 4GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Video Card

That "(UEFI)" thing is going to be a problem for the AM2+ board, I think. Darn it. Guess I should go with Plan A, my GT 730 2GB GDDR5 (refurb) card(s).

Edit: Some talk on SD, of being able to use FreeSync over HDMI, using a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor. (I would use the branded "ATI" adapter, available on ebay, to be sure.)

Here's a Sapphire 4GB RX 470 Nitro mining card, with ZERO video outputs. Sold out.

Edit: From Reddit:

I know the RX 470 works in a P45 and P35 intel chipsets which are quite a bit older than the x58.

That gives me some hope. I'll try it.

Hmm. May not be all rosy. Seems that the UEFI BIOS that AMD supplies to board vendors is "Hybrid", and works with Legacy BIOSes, but Sapphire seemingly customizes theirs, and it may be UEFI-only.

Might have to give my buddy a well used XFX RX 470 4GB that I have, instead, if it has an un-molested UEFI/Legacy Hybrid BIOS.
