wake up people stop buying the retarded 6600GT, 6800 (worst card ever), or even then pretty OK X800. For a few bucks more you get entry level high end card X800 pro.

Like zinkpig said, you can get the ATI built one for $34 less at the ATI store. Plus Sapphire has been known to have problems. I wouldn't touch this deal.

The ATI store which sells refurbished ones for $179 does not have it in stock. The ZZF deal for $199 w/free shipping of NEW retail X800pro is the best. Thanks fcth.

Now this deal is HOT !!!!!!

ATI doesn't have this in stock, it's on backorder, so scurry on backorder your refurbs.......Or just get a brand new retail box for $10 with free games

A few bucks more? Where do you get from? A 6600GT agp goes for 130 Shipped, that is a bit more than a few bucks.

This deal is for the PCI Express version of the X800 Pro. AGP is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT story.

All the decent midrange cards - 6600GT, 6800, X800 have only 128MB memory and run WAY slower then the X800 pro which has 256MB.
And they cost $150 at least (in fact 6800 and X800 are oftem more then $200). So for a little more you get much better performance, in fact this card is entry level high end performance. Check out the benchmarks, for example 3DMark2005:

6800 = 2635
6600GT = 3681
X800 = 3802
X800 Pro = 4652
6800GT = 4987
X800XL = 4933

X800 Pro is only 5% slower then 6800GT/X800XL but about 25% faster then 6600GT/X800, and about 80% faster then the pathetic 6800.

Dude, seriously, do some friggin research. First, 6800's are EASY to get in 256meg. Second, if you look 6600gt's can be found in 256meg, Third, those benches are mostly at 1280x1024 WITHOUT any AA or AF. Most of them show Single card configs beating the same Cards in SLI and some show a 6600gt beating a 6800GT. Buy yourself a clue. Here's a free one... 6800 Plain STOMPS 6600gt into the dirt in 90% of situations.

And 3dmark is worthless for compairing this gen of cards. A quick glance at real world benches ran at settings where the card would actually be the bottleneck would show you that real fast.

I don't think you get Splinter Cell chaos Theory with this, I think it is Pandora Tomorrow, and I think that is only in Japan. I think Prince of Persia comes with these, not sure if it is PoP 1 or 2 though...

I stand corrected, it is indeed Pandora Tomorrow, not Chaos Theory. You also get the games URU and XIII.

But it is OOS now. Too bad people here were arguing the whole day about wether it is a good deal or not, and now it's out of stock, so you missed it.....

6800 (256MB) = 32.2
6600GT = 38.4
X800 = 54.1
6800GT = 61.2
X800 Pro = 64.4
X800XL = 73.0

Purely coincidental that you chose the one game that most favors the x800 line over the 6800's of any. Also look at the scores. Toms screwed something up. The 6600gt should not be beating a 6800. in any situation where the videocard is being stressed. You can't just brush off a point that Tom's results are obviously inaccurate and then cite them again, that's not how it works.

More realistic benches show about -5% to 15% improvement with the x800pro over a 6800 256meg @ 1280x1024 8x4, the average probably being in the 5% area. Of course, it gets torn apart by both the x800xl and 6800gt which cost about $50 more than this these days. What really kills the 6800 in most high res situations is the 128megs on most cards. Which makes toms even more laughable. a 6800 128meg @ 1600x1024 8x4 beats a 6600gt 128meg in modern games... a 256meg absolutely destroys it simply due to the memory advantage... yet toms still has almost no (if any) benches showing a 256meg 6800 beating the 6600gt.

Here's a different set of benchmarks which also show how poor the 6800 is - it's usually slower then a 6600GT because it's memory and core speed are much slower (it doesn't use GDDR memory). In any case it's no competition to the X800 pro, and it costs even more then $200, especialy the 256M or special versions, so it's just a bad card that needs to die.
