In for one. Thanks OP! Gonna stick it in a gigabit network for backup storage. Note that this is the 8MB cache model, not the higher performance 16MB model.

I wonder if staples has real time stock updates? this has been posted since early this morning on other sites. thats when i bought mine,
 
Nice price. What's up with the hard disk drive prices? The prices held pretty firm from Last August to this Jan, and then now in Feb, things started to go down drastically. Must be because of the bigger platters and all the 1T drives becoming available.

Those are one time use coupons, so you won't be able to Google any. They're probably given out after purchases or in weeklies, and they can probably be bought off ebay.

I missed out on the $60(ish) 7200.11 drives that were on sale in January, and I need another drive. But I want something that performs a little better than this. And now it's the 500 and 750 gig drives that are on sale and I don't think I want/need something that big.

Sigh.

Is that a generic coupon? I had one emailed to me but it just expired. Ah well, still have a $25 Staples GC I can use. Gotta think about this one.
 
FYI, some Best Buys are having a clearance (Germantown MD.) I picked up the 500GB SE16 model for $103, and was able to use a 10% off coupon. That comes out to $.01 more per GB than this 400GB model, and it has the extra cache. I'll probably return this drive to Staples.

They are good drives. As long as they are 7200rpm, I'm fine. Just be aware they are 8mb instead of 16mb, as stated above by DrShivas.
