One could actually play BF2 on low settings with that Radeo 9100 if you needed to put an older machine into a LAN or something.

I'm running several Ti4200's. Nice older card, and it plays most games (but not BF2). HL2 looks and plays fine, but uses the DX8 rendering. No DX9 bells and whistles for these cards. Paid $52 for Chaintech Ti4200 VIVO retail fall 2003, and $39 spring 2004 for an Asus version. Looking to upgrade from the Ti4200 on my own rigs, but I'd buy a couple more Ti4200's for friends/relatives if they were a bit cheaper.

I still have this card in one of my machines. It runs DX8 games really nice. 100fps in CS easy and runs hl2 at a playable rate. Not too bad for 40 bux.

4200 destroys the FX 5200 Ultra.

When 5200's first came out, some people were 'upgrading' from their 4200s. That was some deceptive marketing by nVidia.

5200 > 4200, it must be better? Not.

Does the ti4200 with DVI support dual head display (ie. VGA and DVI separate displays)?

Same here.... but my ti4200 fan died and fried the GPU...

I just bought my 6800...... damn... I'd bought this deal if I had seen it....6800 is overkill on my system

I remember buying this card for I think $150 a while back & overclocking em to Ti4600 speeds & higher. These were great cards.

The 9600XT AIW would be a nice deal if it came with the remote. I might have to pick up one of these old cards...

I remember buying this card when it was ~175. It's easy to remember, because I still own it.

Ya, I bought mine for $155 and still running strong. Don't game much and running dual-head 2005FPW and 15' LCD just fine. And still runs UT2004 at playable rates (okay, minimally so) at 1980x1050!

Yes. Just get a VGA adapter (if you need it). I have dual 19" CRTs going right now on a Ti4200.

Anyone know if the 9100 would be able to play BF2 acceptably?

I recall somebody running it on a Radeon 8500, I believe it was in the thread on the software board complaining about BF2 not working on GF4 cards.
