Best deal I've seen on one of these, clocked at 815MHz core/3.7GHz memory.

Probably the best card you can buy for 1680x1050 and below, adequate for 1920x1200 if you don't use too much AA/AF.

I swore this was a repost since the deal has been around for a week or so. It was mentioned in another thread but it is in fact an original thread as far as I can find.

I posted about it in the video cards forum but I don't recall seeing a hot deal thread on it.

OMG, the 4870 is gonna hit ~$100 soon!

Yeah, I hope this happens when HD4890 comes out...
Really tempted to pick up the HD4850 but I'll wait... hehe

yeah, we probably won't see that until they get desperate.

FS/FT is a damn mess. All I see is the same thread bumped for months with the OP not changing the prices at all. Who would buy a 2 generation old card for the same price as a faster newer card with warranty? I wish we had the star rating system back.

If I had a crossfire supported Mobo w/ HDMI and used the HDMI out only to an HDTV and just plugged this card in, would I get the benefit of it?

do you mean trying to do hybrid xfire? not sure about that, but this card would give you a massive improvement over any onboard solution for gaming...

it supports full hdmi vid and sound through the hdmi adaptor (dvi to hdmi adaptor included)...

you would want to disable the onboard vid in bios and then plug into this card...

So I would have to plug directly into the card? I wasn't sure if the hybrid xfire would allow me to just plug and play, keeping plugged into the mobo with HDMI or not.

Are you sure a DVI/HDMI adapter will move sound?

Nice threadcrapping there.

1) Price hasn't changed, it's just OOS.
2) OOS status has been updated in the title.
3) 2 generation old card? WTF are you smoking?

He's not threadcrapping. He's ragging on the circus that we call FS/FT. This is a hot deals thread. He is just speaking off topic of this thread.

Apparently he posted in the wrong thread or something? 😕

No, he posted in the right thread, he's just making an "off topic" comment. Its no reflection on your posted deal - which is an awesome one at the moment BTW. Hope it comes back for everyone. You need not take offense....

yes... must use vid card out...

running a couple of them myself...

u just need to be sure u install all the drivers, sound included, and then change the sound output in control panel to the ati hd driver...

i did have a weird thing in that my mitsu bigscreen has to use the hdmi on the front panel used for this... i haven't figured out what the reason is, but the rear hdmi's do the picture but not the sound...
