I succumb, I do not need this and it will be used on a laptop that is meant for travel and I don't care about the data on it. For this price I couldn't pass it up.

The sad thing is, it will be used on a laptop that is only sata version 2 so I won't get the full benefit of the ssd (currently the laptop has a 500gb 5400rpm.)

Damn, perfect timing. I got a $25 coupon from them in my email just days ago. I applied it just fine and ended up paying exactly $100.69 shipped with tax.

Cannot believe i just paid $100 for a 240GB SSD.......just WOW.

Thanks OP!

Grabbed one. I have a number of options to use it.

Accelerate wifes afing laptop.
Add to desktop to complement HDD
accelerate wifes incoming laptop that will have 7200rpm HD

Wonder what this portends for Black Friday?...$99 240/256 drives?

Been waiting for a sale on a Samsung 830 256GB drive, but I finally could not resist with this price. SSD world, here I come.

Thank You OP

daveybrat Did you get coupon just for being on some mailing list or was it "special"?

I just sent this out to helpdesk at my office, 20 guys just jumped on it, 1-2 orders each person.. funny.. they are all thanking you

Floods of folks over at SD already saying/predicting bad news. Good luck to anyone who actually gets them, orders are going from processing --> OOS in droves.

I'm guessing that this means that even if your order appears successful, it may still get cancelled? 🙁
