Hi,

I put together a new pc and forgot to plug in the power on the back of the card and only remembered after i had installed the os and drivers, the drivers told me i forgot about the power cord. Is there any potential problems in not having it pluged in for the first 30-45 minutes??

Thanks!

Hey Techno,

This is kinda of a guess on my part as I don't have that card. But I did the same with my 9800p. I just got a warning at boot. It didn't cause any problems though.

I'd guess you didn't do anything too graphically intensive in those minutes. I'd power down, unplugg (I'm cautious!) and hook it up and have a go.

Normally, you wouldn't get anywhere without the power plugged in. I doubt you've done any harm, though.

You could overload the AGP slot if you leave it that way, so plug it in ASAP.
