Oops! Someone just sent me $440 via Paypal and I have no idea who they are

i CONSTANTLY get others people's email's, almost 1-2 a day. Today is the first time someone actually sent me money incorrectly though.

I assume I should use the 'cancel' function at the bottom of the transaction right? (not the refund)

Not sure what kinda scam this could be though, the funds aren't in my acct so I assume canceling the e-Check would just cancel the transaction.

HAHAH! Paypal just called, that was quick, I guess the poor guy was freaking out and called them right away. They told me just to press cancel and all would be good in the world.

I saw something like this on an episode of Sanford & Son, what happened was this. The state accidentally sent Grady 2 Social Security checks in the mail. He was thrilled and decided instead of telling them what happened and sending 1 of the checks back he'd go to Vegas and live it up. Much to Lamonts disapproval. So when he got back from his weekend in Vegas a guy from the Social Security office was waiting for him. Grady was scared he was busted, and as Lamont was saying "I told you so!" the worker said "sorry we made a mistake with your check this month and you didn't get one" and handed him a 3rd check.

So you might get 2 more $400 deposits.

hehehe, haven't watched that show in a decade or so.... still very funny, better than most stuff on TV these days.

Except this is paypal. They will freeze your account, take back the money that wasn't yours, and then steal the rest of your money just for the hell of it.
