It's a little too stiff for toilet paper, not really that good of a deal. If you want a good deal on a 'PC' magazine get 'Maximum PC' for $12 a year. One of the best PC magazines I've run across.

This isn't the actual mag, its a digital version, correct? I already have a digital magazine, it's called the internet.

kendogg, change thread title to reflect that this "free subscription" cannot be read in the outhouse.

It sucks now. The previous editor rocked but when the new guy took over a year or so again they've tried to make it more mainstream.

On the contrary...
Go HERE and you can have your digital subscription changed to the paper version at no extra cost.

What do you consider as one of the top PC mags?

If you currently get the paper version, they'll switch you to the digital version (which doesn't work on Macs, by the way). You can, however, call and switch back (but you'll miss a couple of issues).

Of what I'm familiar with, probably maximumPC.....I think they lowered the bar quite a bit recently tho, that they had set pretty high, so I didn't think it was worth renewing.

I currently get the digital version - it's not quite so convenient as the paper version, but I like reading it on my monitor.

Stinky.
