No. I support taxing everybody the same rate for different levels of income. Which is what we have now in part, and why people frequently don't know what % they are actually paying.

Same rate on every dollar is simple but unfair. The dollar that keeps me from starving shouldn't be taxed at the same rate as my millionth dollar.
The dollar that keeps you from starving /= the dollar that buys 1/600th of your iphone, or your snazzy new rims, or your gold necklace. The dollars that keep you from starving are largely not taxed at all, because of deductions and exemptions. (Except of course for payroll taxes.)

I'm a Democrat but always been a deficit hawk.

I consider an honest proposal this, and for discipline, no tax increase without matching cuts.

Start with $100 billion now.

$50B tax increases to 1999 levels, particularly estate, highest bracket, all forms of income same rate.

$50B cuts excluding education and veterans as much as possible.

Sounds peachy, except top earners got a jump on the whole proposition under the Bush Admin and Repub congress, and even further back under Reagan. You're giving away a helluva head start.
