ooking for people to partner with me to develop a new online business

I know you people don't just jump right in on this, but an idea popped into my head earlier.

I want to make a website where people can trade their books. I googled it and found maybe 2 sites, and I don't mind that. But I think I can do better than those sites, and use different techniques than them. I'm looking for coders, designers, marketers, just anyone with experience in sucessful webpages. Hopefully this site could take off and generate a lot of revenue. Reply or PM me if you're in, or want more info.

Thanks

half.com pretty much owns the online used book market from what I've seen.

Your main issue is that no one is going to want to be a member of a book trading website that has no userbase, and to get userbase you need to either do advertisin ($$$) or draw from an established source (like half.com did with eBay)

good luck 🙁

i was thinking having a amazon.com backend, and use word of mouth as advertising. digg generates a lot of traffic, as long as the site gets on the front page.

as for the making of money, that would probably come from advertisements.
