News hype has always disgusted me. I just have to laugh at how the news morons go down to Cancun every year for a freakin month to do an "expose" on Spring Break - and come back with 5 solid minutes of footage they kept playing in a loop over and over again.

You'd think they'd have better things to do.

They think a "catchy" name and flashy graphics to go with it help improve their ratings. Sad thing is, they're probably right. A lot of news watching lemmings won't pay attention unless there's loud music, a catch-phrase style name in big letters on the screen, and flashy CG graphics to go along with it.

This has to do with commercialization because they assign a title to an event?
I would certain agree that 6 major fires would easily constitute a firestorm.
