ONS-Torlan is sooooo played.

I can't stop myself... here I am trying to write a thesis so I can go out an get a job, and I'm playing this stupid demo!

Yes yes... I am a hypocrit too...

Even though it's so played, I found myself whiling away 3 hours on it when I was waiting for my wife to get home last night. 🙂

i think this is the only redeeming factor of this game, but i didnt lke ut2k3 that much...and the only worthwhile difference seems to be vehicles

btw, shooting one of those flying bastards with your tank cannon not only gets you an "eagle eye" shout, but it feckin rules

Go play Assault or TDM then. Onslaught is only going to blossom when the full version comes out and the players start making mutators. The new maps will come and so will the new vehicles! Remember, it's the demo.

Played it on the Anandtech server last night with Thoreau, Last_Rites and a few others. It's still fun even though I've played it a lot. Instead getting bored with the map, you guys should be figuring out techniques on it. My friend figured out you can jump off the tower in your main base, aim for one of the turrets and hit E right as you hit it you can enter the turret with out getting injured from the drop. Lets you defend in a hurry if you need to.

I spent most of last night's games smushing people in a manta. And yes, learning tactics and such too. In fact, I've learned several things...

The main cannon on the hummer is a very very nice tool, not only for offense but defense too. The key is to park the thing in just the right spot and use it as a long range instagib sniper rifle.

Avoiding AVRiL's with a manta is relatively easy now. If it's incoming from the front, if you time it right you can jump then squish at the right time and the missile will go right over top of you and slam into the ground. If it's coming from behind, jump/squish combo's when it gets close enough will usually cause it to smash into the ground behind you - provided it's close enough to you.

I've become a relatively good reaper pilot, able to avoid ARViL's is a talent... bigtime.

I'm not saying Onslaught is played out... just the Torlan map. God I can't wait until retail is out.

I admit it, I'm a hypocrit too 🙁

I played earlier today and I was getting double-kills with Vehicular manslaughter. Two guys would be up on the hill with avrils shooting at my teammates and i would just swing up right in front of them, or behind them, and smack them down right after they fired off their shot.

I wish the HellBurner had some defense besides a horn for the person driving it 🙂 I guess being able to smash the heck out of everything in your way (except tanks) is the defense.

I LOVE running into people with the Manta. That's all I try to do after getting bored and we're losing by a landslide. 😉

Yeah, the map got old after a few days. They need a new map. Maybe someone can figure out how to make another one to work on the demo.

The scorpion's weapon is weird. Wrap around energy tentacles or something. But its very effective if you can aim it right!!!

Scorpion can 1-shot a manta. They're the only thing I really fear when I'm driving a manta... if I see or hear the green rope stick to me, I bail immediately cause it's instadeath for the manta once it anchors.
