I'm only pulling 6666 in 3Dmark2001

Athlon 1333
Geforce 3 240/550
512mb DDR
Gigabyte 7VTX
Santa Cruz

I see others scoring 7500 regularly, and some in the 8000s with the exact same hardware and settings.

Any ideas?

i had a similar system to urs...
at GF3 250/550 i was onli getting 6900+

however though.. the first few time i benchmarked scores reached high as 8400.. with 22.80
when i reinstall back the 22.50.. everything was fine until i restarted.... scores dropped and reinstalling the det won't solve the problem... i was told to use detonator destroyer but nv got the time to try out yet..

hope this helps......

hahaa.. anyone who helps this guy above me.. plz.....helps ME tooo.. :)

To many applications running in the background? Remove them from your active desk-top if you have any.

Only programs running are nvmax, and the santa cruz control panel. Disabling them didnt do much.

Tried the 23.10s, but couldnt boot up with them, so back to 21.83.

I've got every option at the fastest possible setting I can think of, but still its sloooow. I'd at least like to pull 7500 like the average.

I got 6050 in 3DMark 2000 with a Duron 700 with KT133 and a GF3 (not OCed). When I first installed the card I was getting only 4700. After some serious searching and some aspirins I finally found out what was wrong:
I had left the AGP size in BIOS(or something like that, I'm bored to restart my machine right now :)) in 64MB instead of the proper 128. Have you checked it?

make sure that FSAA isn't on. btw, harpy82,instead of using det destroyer, you could have just used WinXP's driver rollback feature. also, you could try uninstalling the vid card, and then going through the registry and the hard drive and removing any nvidia driver strings. then, just reinstall the card with your drivers of choice. that should fix your problem.

yes i tried that... the driver roll back did not work....
so i tried rolling back AND removing the registry string... then reinstalling the 22.50.... nope... still the same...

i am getting a new harddisk next week.... so i am planning to fresh reinstall winXP....

maybe your winXP install is corrupted, somehow. i have used the driver rollback about 15 times now, and i haven't had any problems. anyhow, good luck!

The 23.10's were unstable on my system as well. Why not try the 22.80's?
