I remember welcoming the 80s at my grandmothers house, the 90s at some random place, the 00s downtown and I guess the 10s will be at home.

Where were you when the decades rolled in? Where will you be tonight?

EDIT: Time is running out!

Not necessarily.

Around here, saying "oh ten" has picked up for 2010.

I thought it was kind of dumb at first but now I find myself saying it sometimes.

Oh, thats what makes this so confusing. Ive heard "twenty oh nine" for 2009, etc. But twenty oh ten? :hmm:

I definitely do not see 2011 being 'Twenty oh eleven' or 'oh eleven'

And who cares what it is after 2012? Not like we'll be around...:D

I wonder what historic calamities, and in general, what major history, the 10s will bring us. Well, bring the kids in the 2050s when learning history.
Hopefully the 2010s rock!

I'll be mid 80s for most of the 70s. I hope I get a chance to live the 70s.
I should get to enjoy the 60s.

And you bet your ass I'll be living the 60s like they were meant to be lived. I don't care if the good stuff is illegal then or not, I'll be old, retired, and one chill grandpa.

I failed in my attempt to get others to join me in leaving out the "oh" in the date. i.e. today is 12-28-9 (or 28-12-9 for those of you on the other side of the pond)

A COMMERCIAL!?!?!

Dude!

Office Space!

Oh, or did you mean the Hitler gif?
Well, seeing as how the filename of the Office Space gif is "office space o-face.gif"...no, I was not aware that it was from Office Space. :p

I'm jealous of the people that will live into the last 3/4th of this century. I'll already be 70 years old in 2051. My chances of seeing 2070+ are pretty slim, I would say.. lol

Ok, well I thought you would like to know then. It is a pretty popular movie.

The next decade doesn't start until 2011. We have another year + 3 days in this "decade". Yup, I'm gonna be that guy in this thread.

Completely baseless of course. I consider as the "tens" digit changes, the decade changes.

In any case its funny that in the 9 years I've been living in them, I've never thought of what to call this decade!!!! My great grandfolk called the 1900's "ought-something" like "ought-five" for 1905, (so I'm told). But I've never thought of these years as ought anything. Ought is reserved for wire gauge, and its damn thick cable.

my fiancee thinks "the zero's" but I don't think thats gonna catch on.

Oh yeah, and I'm going to key west for the new year bitches - eat it. I'll be at alamo if you'll be there too.

80s - my family would have an adult party and a kid party at two separate houses...10 miles apart. of course, the oldest kids were in their late teens, so they got stuck watching over us (I was 4 at the time)

90s - pretty mellow at home deal. My junior high girlfriend was babysitting next door. got my first kiss that night

00's - sitting at my first house which I had just purchased, with my preggers wife to be.

10's - probably celebrating at home with the kids and wife

Doesn't work too well for computers which often just use alphanumeric sorting for putting dates in order.
