Alright, I have one of the SB audigys, I think the mp3+(not that it matters) along with a set of Altec ADA885 speakers. For some reason I can only get 2 speaker output unless I switch the speakers to quad mode, in which case I get all 4 speakers but no sub. I don't understand what the heck the problem is here, everything is hooked up correctly!!! If anyone can shed some insight, I'd be much obliged. I'd write more, but I have to run to class... I'll edit later, just want to get this up to see if anyone has some quick suggestions.
Also, I've tried using all modes on my speakers as well as all modes on the audigy(5.1, 4, stereo, headphone), and gotten the same results. I have digital output only unchecked. My digital output goes from the audigy digi-out to the digi-in(I have to try pulling this out when I get back... maybe the problem is that this channel is functioning in analog mode, sending extra signals to the wrong place? Hmmmmmmmmm..). I have the analog speaker outputs on the audigy hooked up correctly. Later all!
EDIT: Pulling out the SP/DIF connector didn't work, so that wasn't the problem.
