Just got back from the store.

Boneless chicken breast: $1.68 a pound.

Chicken wing sections: $2.49 a pound.

(note: demand for buffalo wings drives the price of wings beyond that of chicken breast. And, for every dozen they sell, 3 chickens have to die, resulting in quite a bit of chicken breast needing to also be sold.

it's the same thing here.
I don't understand how wings cost more that titties.
It's like Bizarro world.

I was thinking of making something easy for dinner... I was going to do chicken wings. Instead, I decided to cut the breast into strips, bread them, deep fry them, and splash some hot sauce on them. Mmmmmmm. Far better than the frozen chicken strips that restaurants sell.

that's been my alternative for the past 3 weeks.

2 lbs of chicken tittays cut into strips. breaded with italian bread crumbs and then deep fry = chicken strip goodness.

I usually save 1 chicken tittays for chicken ceasar sandwich.

I could be wrong, but I think boneless chicken breast where I live is somewhere around $2.88 a pound. You're getting it cheap my friend.

they need to genetically engineer a chicken with 6 or 8 wings

I'm down for that.
just imagine how tasty they'll look.

Bah, I was going to post a screenshot from total recall, but no matter how fake, boobs are a no-no.

where is Olean, NY? I'm going to SUNY Brockport, so I'm right outside of Rochester.

South of Buffalo on the PA border. 1:45 from Roch

The chicken wing prices are worth it in wny. The wings you get in areas outside of wny are these puny, horrible excuses for a wing.

I've noticed that sometimes wings in other places are like they come from a different animal, or different breed of chicken... they're all grizzly and not as meaty.

But, I've gotta say... these chicken strips.... MMMMmmmmmmmmm Almost as good as sex.

y'all got 4 winged chickens up there in new york?

we're gettin' gypped down here.

speakin' of chicken.. you ever notice how.. if you buy a package of leg quarters.. they're all the same leg? what do they do with the left legs?

I only buy chicken breasts if they are on sale for 99cents at the grocery store. Wings for over 2 bucks/pound? No way.

I am cooking chicken wings from Sams for diner tonight and watching the World Series. Go Cards.
