The "statereligion" is an old relic...on the way out.
Just today Norway voted to remove "christianity" as a state religion.
162 for
3 against.

Same thing will happen here...once they decide how many charches are neede to preserve historical legacy.

The Queen is a "puppet-for-show".
It's PR, no real power...but everytime they go anywhere...suits floolow and broker buisnessdeals.

The lastest estiatmate show and expenditure at 342 mil DKK.
The PR value alone is rated at 80 bil DKK
Tehn add the beals on top of that...it would be insane to abolish that.

But you didn't answer many of my questions...you just tried with red herrings...wanna play again?

The last thing I want to see walking around downtown is some fat ass Danish guy with a tiny dick. If it's puritanical and bad or something, then I guess I'm guilty of it.

Now if it was a hot Swedish girl with big boobs and a neatly trimmed muffin, then I'm cool with it.

I should add that in my younger days I was a visitor to Black's Beach in LaJolla Ca. along with many other clothing optional hot springs and pools etc. It's no big deal in those situations. If you want to ride a bus, shop at the grocery or eat at a local restaurant then I'd prefer guys to wear pants...at least.

Apparently I do have that right. If you think not then you can conduct the experiment, pick a US town or city and stride smartly down the street in all your glory. Let us know how that goes.

That does not work in any place where it has not been eased into practice.

Show one of our TV series to a "typical" family in the 50's and see how many of them are shocked by the sex and violence we now consider "normal" and "acceptable" for public consumption.

Hell, look at movies.

Again, most RATIONAL people are not calling for nudist colonies to be the norm, but a healthy respect and acceptance of the human body is something that would be met with genuine appreciation.

As long as people realize two things:

1. It's "natural"
2. Sometimes "all natural" is not the best thing.

WTF? We have people walking naked in the Castro district all the time in San Francisco. The only thing we ask them to do is to put a towel down if they sit somewhere for sanitation reason.

Don't generalize the US, we have extremely progressive people and really stone age people.

think about the children seeing this when walking in the street...... there is a good reason why this is against the law. On the other hand, if this happened in a 18 or 21 plus only club, concert or restaurant or any such place. tht would be asesome

Nice fail...as it IS religion that villifies the naked body...because it is also involed in something that has more power over people than their superstition...sex.

So wrong. You don't need to be religious to not want to be taking your kids for a walk in the park and see some fat drunk guy buck naked coming toward you with his junk hanging out.

The key here is sex, not nudity.

And that is the point.

I do not want to see a fat drunk guy coming at me fully clothed with vomit all over said clothes.

Our laws on nakedness and exposure have SOME base in health and protection, but they got skewed with religion and "propriety".

"Because I said so" is a valid reason for only so long. After 40 years, I kinda demand a bit more substance to my validations.

Given our overweight/obesity rates I entirely support laws prohibiting public nudity.

In the south particularly I think that each state should amend their constitutions so that nudity is only allowed in the home, at night, with all the shades drawn, the lights off, and when all parties are wearing sleep masks.

There is only one reason for EVERYTHING that happens in our courts.

Our justice system is totally out of control.

Just like healthcare or any political issue, you simply cannot blame 1 person. It's a combination of Lawyers, Judges, corporation and people getting WAY too much power than they should have.

Don't expect ANYTHING to change either.

I am fine with nudity.

I will hold back vomit to a poorly clad obsese person just as much as a fully naked obsese person.

Allowing nudity around children is not something you can overlook with any arguement. As I parent I have the right to raise my child the way I best see fit (within reason of course) public nudity can take part of that right away from me. Who are you (random naked stranger) to decide when my child is ready to see a naked man/woman? Thats what the internet is for...

I think our double standards about sexuality stemming from religion are pretty ludicrous. OTOH, I prefer that there be some prohibition of public nudity for the simple reason that it reinforces the mystique. It's way hotter that way, to take a look at porn on the sly, than to look at naked people walking all over the place. Anyone recall the "nudist" movement that was popular in the 1970's, and just how UN-sexy it was? Nudity being "natural" just isn't sexy.
