From the article, it seems the woman portrayed herself as an orphan. The NW is supposedly known for their hospitality so I wouldn't doubt that the family might've just taken in the woman out of kindness.

I don't condone what happened but I think the problem here was why is a 14 yr old allowed to date a 17yr old AND live in the same house in the FIRST place. Not the deception, the girl isn't even secretive about the fact she was openly having intercourse with him(her). This is cause enough for alarm about wtf is wrong with this family imo.

Presumably the parents HAD to have know they were having sex.

Also, they met in 2005, which means that they started dating when she was 12. A 12-year old and a '15-year old'. WTF. If they let him start living in when she was 12....wow.
