Only half of each RAM stick detected

I just recently reformated, and after doing so noticed that my PC was only detecting 256 MB of ram, rather then the 512MB I have installed. So, obviously, I think one of my ram sticks went bad. I opened up the PC, booted and, much to my amazement, my PC only recognized 128MB of my 256MB stick. SO, I'm guessing it's only recognizing half of both sticks. EVerything was fine up to a month ago.

Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this? I'm working with 2 sticks of 256MB PC2100 DDR, on a soltek KT266a mobo. Any advice here would be greatly apreciated.
