only getting 1050 on a 1.4 ghz cpu

when i installed a 1.4 ghz AMD processor onto an EPOX 8kha motherboard, the CPU only clocks at 1050 MHZ, all the bios settings are default..is there something i have to change?

yea, change bus and multiplier.. should be somethin gin your manual about it.

Yo!

Go into the BIOS and set your FSB to 133Mhz. You're prolly running at 100Mhz bus. 10.5 X 100 = 1.05Ghz. 10.5 X 133 = 1.4Ghz,

You need to change a jumper to go to 133MHz, you're on 100MHz now.

well that depends on whether or not you're in jumperless mode
