only get AGPx1, but should get x2 on Trident blade 3d 9880 card

I have Soyo 7VCA MB with bios enabled up to 4x of AGP, and card is capable of 2x, but it seems to be running at 1x.

I have installed latest VIA 4-1, and latest video drivers. Any one have suggestions?

It is a Trident. Are you that worried about performance on it?

Hmm, looking over the specs for the card, I wouldn't worry about it only using 1x AGP. It's not a huge loss in terms of speed and you should only worry about it if you are gonna be using 'killer' games on it (which I doubt it is fast enough to run before AGP speed becomes a limiting factor).

There is nothing wrong with the 3D blade cards. They are not going to win any prizes for speed, but (as an example) the Riva TNT was a fast enough card - offering performance on that level now for a low asking price is what they want to achieve with this line and for the most part, have succeded.
