Only boots into VGA

When I try to go into display properties in windows 2000 I get a blue screen. Ive tried different vid cards and reinstalling widows and I still get a blue screen. Can someone give me some ideas PLEASE?
 
Check your BIOS settings. Try loading the default values, and then changing any non-video settings you had set. Then make sure you ahve the correct drivers for the specific card you are using. Blue screens sometimes arise from similar-but-not-compatible drivers.
