Only 882Mhz from a cB0?

I got my new p3 today, and I'm a little distressed. It is a 700e SL3XX FCPGA. My friend got one of these a week ago, and it is almost stable at 1050Mhz (boots windows, crashes after a while). Is he lucky or am I unlucky?

Also, the BX Master I'm using couldn't overclock my celeron 366 to 550 like my BH6 or Soyo boards because of what I think was a problem giving the chip more than default voltage. Do you think it could still be a problem, I have an Asus Slotket which should be good quality right?

Thanks

Traditionally that would be pretty good. It's all in the averages, and I guess you are at the wrong end of the bell curve. I'm assuming you know what you're doing as far as overclocking goes when I say this. And 1050 that crashes ain't 1050 in my book.

You are not unlucky - your clockspeed is more than 25% over default. What is your voltage? What is your cooling solution?

A CPU that boots into Windows and then "crashes after a while" is NOT stable.

Have you tried pulling the sw2 and sw3 jumpers off the motherboard? Also, how good is your ram? What about AGP. Are all things in the two systems comparable?

My point was that his 1050@1.7v actually got into windows, and is perfectly stable at 980@1.7v, except for the AGP card (g400 sucks). I can't get into windows at 933@1.85v, and my PC sits 1 foot from and air conditioner. With the AC off for extended periods of time causes instability if it is a hot day.

The RAM is generic P3133 that I've verified as good up to 144Mhz bus with my handy p2 333 with no multiplier lock (2x150 wouldn't go). I have a Geforce DDR which I've tested at 103Mhz AGP (changed divider to 1/1).

I'm not unhappy about having 882Mhz, I was just excited about maybe having a gigahertz system.
