only 70 mins out of 4-cell battery?

is this normal? the computer was at full charge when i pulled the ac adapter out. i was watching a dvd and 70 mins later, the battery have only 14% left. i thought i suppose to get at least 2 hour out of a 4-cell battery. is something wrong with the laptop or the battery? the screen dimmed when i pulled out the ac adapter. so it should be using less battery right? can someone help me out.

yeah... 2hours using it for typeing word docs.

That DVD drive sucks some juice during playback especially working together caching with the hard drive.

damn this sucks. if i get a 8-cell battery, how long will it last me for watching dvds?

The 8-cell should last a lot longer. I dont think it will double your battery life, but it will come close.

it could aslo help if you ripped the entire movie to the HD, so the DVD drive doesn't have to spin

Yes, the dvd drive will drain your battery quick, rip it to hd, turn off LAN/Wireless/Bluetooth and turn down your brightness to save some juice and you will likely see a big improvement
