no via make CPU's too, the cyrix and some other thing.....tho they not found in desktops frequently but im sure they have a use for other stuff


apple have their own architecture for their mac's, palm make processors for hand helds, but the big guns are really AMD and intel,,,,,,then apple with their Gx processors
 
Transmeta makes some nice products for mobile or compact devices. They've been doing low power CPUs for years now,and only now Intel and AMD are catching on. They will merely steal Transmeta's thunder 🙁
 
No, its just that Intel and AMD are the companies that design CPUs for the PCs that we most commonly use. So we hear about them much more than anyone else; such as the peopel that make non-computer electronics CPUs.
