people were all over intel for releasing wilamette on socket-423 , but at least that went from 1300 -2000mhz. amd now only has 3000+ and 3200+ at 400fsb and athlon64 is a few months away. but no one seems as outraged for amd trying to screw the customer as they did with intel for wilamette. what gives

and according to old xbit news, final barton is 3200+

Doesn't matter, the 400MHz doesn't do much for the AthlonXP core anyway. I admit it has gotten a bit ridiculous waiting for the A64 though. I mean, does anyone else remember when it was originally suposed to come out? Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see how everything turns out.

I don't even understand what your point is, what does the Willamette have to do with 400MHz FSB Athlon XP's? How is AMD trying to "screw the customer"? Dude, find a new hobby like making cement shoes and swimming

He is stating the obvious. A lot of people were saying that Intel screwed people over by switching from S423 to S478 so fast. The original poster said that AMD is screwing people over by releasing 400FSB so soon after 333FSB, thus leaving many socketA owners in the dark.

Consider it this way: The new 200mhz FSB capable mobo's can run every/any SocketA cpu ever produced.
