Only 16 color icons after installing TweakUI in Win2k?

I just installed TweakUI 1.33 in Win2k and it changed all of my icons to 16 colors. I have tried unclicking and reclicking the "Show Icons with all possible colors" box under display properties/effects with no visibly change. I also tried rebuilding the icons with TweakUI rebuild icon option.

Anybody know how I can get my 256 color icons back?
