I love onlive for what it is. I was skeptical until I ordered the homefront/metro 2033/console deal. My console is on it's way. I love being able to play homefront on my pathetic netbook.

I ended up getting the Homefront/Free Console deal mainly for the upcoming Android app. Braid and World of Goo codes from the Humble Bundle worked. My console comes tomorrow as well, I am anxious to see how well this performs.

Played Metro 2033 on my girlfriends netbook and surprisingly worked great.

I got the free console as well. I will admit Ihavent used a controller in a decade and am retarded on it. I will use keyboard mouse for fps games but I got dirt 2 from this deal and it looks great on my tv sitting on the couch. Console and controller are made of high quality plastics and you get every cable (including hdmi) plus a AA battery pack with batteries AND a rechargeable battery pack. Nice touches.

I agree. I don't understand people complaining about how it looks. I think it looks pretty phenomenal for what it's doing. I have a 73'' 1080P tv and it is crystal clear (look a text, that's a good indicator) and every bit as good as my xbox.

There is actually more lag when you first sign up and it seems to diminish as you play. I show how the lag can affect a multiplayer shooter. It really matters more there. But on single player and all other games, it doesn't have much effect. They've done a pretty amazing job. Also, the lag is better than it was earlier in the service. The video quality is what got me. It is absolutely awesome. Better on the TV than my PC. Keep in mind, a pretty fat, WIRED internet is almost required. I have about 27mbps internet and my onlive console and PC are wired. I love it. 5 out of 5 for me. Plus, I love that it is all so small and portable and the games come with you. I have a lot of beach vacations planned and plan on bringing this thing with me for the kids at night.

Yeah dude. I'm a tech dork and im like a 6 year old with this thing. I have so much respect for what they have done here. its really amazing. There is some lag of course but its not horrible. Would I twitch out cs:s with this shit? Hell no. Will I buy and play console ported video games with onlive? Yes.

Perfectly said. Same here. I actually warmed up to it over time. Wasn't a fan at first but once I understand it for what it is, it's amazing. Like I said, I was going to lug my xbox all over to my vacations now I have this tiny box.

Actually having the 'console' is a whole new experience. Having PC games available with a kick ass controller is awesome. And the PC games for 10$ a month is awesome. I got the playpack and it works well with a console. Surely xbox and Playstation are going to do something like this with the next gen.

The whole console experience of onlive is really, really cool. 6 year old cool.
 
have they added 1080p streaming yet? 720p still looks too grainy for my tastes. especially when there's a lot of movement.
 
its 720p. To anyone who just wants to check it out you can download the small app and play demos till the cows come home.
