online university

sorry to thread crap, but how do these online universities work? wouldn't some of the say criminal justice programs require some in person learning? labs etc.

are they even accredited universities where a degree from them is actually meaningful. Like I keep seeing the university of phoenix one.
 
if you're going to do an online program, you should do one with an established university. USC has an online school. CMU has an online MBA program that is respectable.
 
okay maybe accredited isn't the best word since well it can be accredited by some no name organization. rather what I wonder is does degree from them hold any weight.

like a degree for some SUNY or some CSU has carry some legitimate weight.
