Online time tracking and project management tools?

I'm looking for some tools that I can log my work during the day, as well as list and track ongoing projects, where the person I'm doing work for can also add comments/projects (collaborative, perhaps...or I could just share my login.) Fwiw, it doesn't need syncing with mobile devices.

I get quite a few results when searching the web...any recommendations or suggestions?

I would recommend you to give a try the cloud based solution Replicon. The hassle free tool is featured with the user friendly and calendar based interface and is designed in order to keep track of time, manage the same and also the project management and task management being taken care with proper effectiveness. Check out the link here - http://www.replicon.com/

Thanks cabri, that's great. I was hoping there was a recent discussion but didn't find/see one.

My boss has us use slimtimer.com for time tracking on multiple projects with comments and tagging.

Microsoft Project.

I'd pick this one, myself, familiar with it and confident that it follows the Operations Research models with precision.

If you're mainly interested in applying PERT or CP/M, and -- if you understand those models enough, you can program a spreadsheet to do everything you would essentially want, and print out Gantt Charts.

Managing online and offline projects is much more complex then any other tasks. I always prefer to use Replicon's roster app to track and schedule my time on a project.

We can add timers as we need and also create schedules for work that send us notifications about the task and time needed to complete those tasks.
