I love California, but hate paying for tax for my computer parts! Anyone know of any good quality online shops outside California?

I remember purchasing stuff from shentech not too long ago, OK prices, no tax, just shiping. They seemed alright.

and instead of SVC, I get my cooling accessories from performance-pc.com the prices are alright and sometimes they have overstock and lower prices drmatically but the service is excellent, All my orders have shipped the same day I placed them.

None have the price, selection, or cheap shipping of the CA stores like SVC and Newegg, so even with tax it can come out even, but occasionally I'll find something where I save a significant enough amount.

Monarch is supposed to be really good. I am going to order a pc from them very soon, probably within the hour after I make sure everything is in order. I live in Ca. also.
I have been unimpressed with Monarch... Slow shipping, incorrect specs on the website, defective corsair memory that took forever to replace, and delays in shipping because of mixups... They also refused to ship an order because supposedly my shipping address was not on record with my C.C. company, when in fact it has been for years. I have even had a previous order from Monarch using that same card to the same address without problems... I wound up ordering from Newegg at a higher price just to get it in a timely manner...

TCWO is out of business. There is a thread about it here from about 2 weeks back.

No, it's tax evasion. You are required by your state to pay a "Use Tax" on items purchased out of state and shipped to you, usually within six months of the purchase date. In Florida you are required to file a DR-15MO for every purchase from out-of-state. I have never seen one of these forms and I sure as hell will never fill one out.

Wow. They just sent an email out a few months ago advertising their site redesign. Their free shipping weeks were great.

I bought a number of items from Futurepowerpc.com which is out of Florida. Overall they are more expensive that NewEgg but if you carefully pick and choose you can always find some good deals. For some reason they seem to have good prices on PowerColor video cards. Another very good site is Directron.com which is in Texas. Again, overall their prices are slightly higher than NewEgg but they have some excellent deals on a regular basis. Unlike NewEgg, when they something on sale it is on sale. Not too long ago they were running the Antec 160 for $100 total out the door whereas NewEgg had it for the same price but with another $8 for sales tax. If you are building an entire new computer for $1000 plus that 7.5-8.5% sales tax can add up fast.
