Hey guys I need some recommendations for a file storage site for an offshore location office. I need to store upto 100MB online for quick access but cannot recommend rapidshare or yousend it since they require a good connection to upload a 100MB site. Im looking for ftp based because uploads can be resumed if they are broken. I mean this is for an offshore site where the internet speeds is like 56k.

anybody knows anything? thanks

but yeah, OP just set up your own FTP with dyndns or no-ip to give it a name. Filezilla is super easy to setup.

Wait. How can it be as simple as possible but not simpler? Huh? Also, at 15 cents per gig per month of storage, you can buy 1.5 hard drives per month for the same price. So if you are dealiing with a decent amount of data that is "hard drive sized" like >=80 GB (or smaller laptop drives) then it is cheaper to make a copy to a hard drive and mail it.

But at the OP's ~100mb of data or so, that's less than 2 bucks a year + 1.7 cents for each full download. For a gig the cost is about 42 cents per month with 1 full upload and 1 full download per month.
