Sharebuilder. $4 per buy, or $12/month for unlimited buys. $16 per sell. Also, they have no account minimums!! It's pretty good, I like it a lot. It's really easy to transfer money in/out and make trades.
As far as stocks go, Edge Petroleum (EPEX), Oracle (ORCL), and Nortel (NT).

You might want to mention that for $4 you ARE NOT getting real time trades. The trades go through once a week.

I just happen to be in the market for a new broker myself, after Trading Direct has been hanging on to my funds for more than a week without letting me do anything with them. Unfortunately, their account information gives you no indication of what funds are available (it's been listing said funds as being in the account for said week) or if they've placed any holds on them--they just cancel all your orders twenty minutes after you place them and provide no information on why they were cancelled.
I also have to give them a special award for the most verbally abusive and unpleasant "phone support" staff of any company I have ever dealt with. (And if you ask to speak to their supervisor, everyone I've talked to has said, "I'm the supervisor.")
So far Scottrade looks interesting. Anyone have experience with them?
