I was taking a survey from HARRIS OnLine just now, and this was an answer in a catageory....
  • Routine maitenance, minor repair, or minor remodeling project

Uhhhhh HELLO? Spell Check Much ????

Post other example if you have any....

This is why spelling, punctuation and grammar count , kids. The cavalier disregard of increasing error rates is BAD , no matter what the field.

THEORUM: If one allows unchecked errors to increase in the COM bus, one is prone to not notice error rates increasing on other busses as well.

I'm not sure if your post was a joke or not, but nonetheless, I have taken the liberty to highlight a few of the spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes in your post.

As for the COM Buss comment, If you were able to extrapolate in a creative sense, one might see the parallel being drawn as to COMMUNICATION. However, that might require some higher processing functions your Grey matter processor may not be capable of.
It's OK, I understand that not all new hardware is as functional as it's predecessors.
If a new system or piece of hardware puts it's unique features behind a drop down menu or dialog box that contains irrelevant info, the new users won't use the cool new stuff.
FOR THE RECORD : I have JUST SWITCHED to FIREFOX and I'm getting used to the auto spell check on the thing.
These people who make the fields and contrasting colors for different functions would do well to actually survey people for ability to differentiate these fields amongst the end using demographic.

Sure:
  1. you included an extra space on the leading edge of the comma twice in the original post, and once in your response
  2. you misspelled "category"
  3. you mistakenly capitalized "check" and "much"
  4. you spelled "theorem" wrong originally (though you later fixed it)
  5. the industry standard (the journalism industry, that is) abbreviation for "communication" is "comm." and not "COM"
  6. you misspelled "buses" and "bus," presumably in an attempt to abbreviate "business"
  7. you misused "it's," which is a contraction of "it is," when you obviously meant to show ownership ("its")
  8. you incorrectly capitalized "grey"
Would you like to respond? Are you finished yet?

I edited my post above to "elucidate" some of the more glaring errors. Some of the OP's grammatical errors are too complicated to expose with a simple highlight. ;)

NO , I DON't. Check your HUmor and Sarcasm systems, they seem to be non functioning.

I'm sorry, I forgot what a pack of jackals this place was. WtF was I thinking I could draw into the vast plane of knowledge this place is and inject a little humor into the morning?

Thanks for your contribution. I'm a better person for it.

I'm sorry, but I have a big problem with people who criticize bad grammar and spelling using even poorer grammar and spelling than the example they cite. Perhaps I'm the only one who sees a problem here, but I sure hope that's not the case.

I'm sorry, but I have a big problem with people who insist on taking a completely serious and literal interpretation of a topic and sticking with it, even when it's been explained to them that that was not the original intention. Perhaps I'm the only one who sees any humor, especially within the irony here, but I sure hope that's not the case.

:D ;) :lips:

OK Q. Why is business not spelled bizness:confused:, instead of the silent "u" and misplaced "i" ?:D
A. It is a contraction in pronunciation, not spelling.
