I need to study and take the test next saturday to get my permit. it's all written, I believe... what should I study and where (on the internet) can I get the sources? this is the first time I'll be getting my permit.

thanks

Does your high school provides driver's education class?

I got my driver's permit through high school driver's education class.

every state is different, isn't it?

I'm in washington. I've studied the permit manual for Hawaii, but I don't think the Hawaii one will do. I just want to be safe and know the facts and pass the test with my first try, ya know? better safe than sorry.....

the driver's education class is for the license, not the permit, right? what's a DMV btw?

thanks

Department of Motor Vehicles, though in Washington we call it the Department of Licensing.

Just get the pamphlet from the nearest DOL, read it cover to cover. It's simple stuff, you'll pass your test with flying colors.

Then spend a bunch of hours behind the wheel, and go back for your license. Be sure to memorize the sections on criminal penalties for DUI and the like, everything else is common sense.

And, drive like a granny when you take your test. Use your signal at every corner, and drive slightly under the limit.

I took driver's education class in high school to receive driver's permit. DMV = Department of Motor Vehicles.

I'm surprised I got my driver's permit five years ago. I didn't realize it was pretty long time ago. 😀
