back in middle school i didn't have many friends so i spent all my time online and wasn't good at talking to people in "real life", high school was a completely different story, and although i still talk online i'm not used to talking on message boards and even get anxiety worrying what to say, etc. am i just a total psycho or has anyone else had trouble with this?

No. (Don't worry about it, other people's opinions don't matter - just tell them that they suck)

ive always felt a much more intense pressure to conform online on messageboards than face to face, maybe its because i cant express myself correctly online, but it might be part of my problem

There is also the fact that MANY people will read what you are writing, not just the people within earshot.

Don't worry, your shyness/un-sureness will lessen as you get older.

Talk about things you really know, and don't try to give out opinions on things you are not sure about.

This way you won't look like a fool.

The main thing to remember is that people grow and change, you are not perfect.

Learn to have thick skin and brush things off when people bother you.

yeah, i was the same way when i started posting here like a month ago, it gets easier, you start to relax and have fun with it, nobody's really mean about it. just say what you want. but i would have to say stay away from saying I HATE MAC'S even though they suck becuase this brings up arguements between other members, just relax have fun with it. they start effecting you really bad just close the browser.

i rarely will say i hate anything, and im pretty open minded. i just tend to piss off people for some reason. on hardocp forums a couple years ago i was one of the main players on the forum, but i ignited a major fiasco when i voiced sympathy for gays when everyone else was bashing them. kyle bennett (the webmaster) must have hated gays, because he called me a i love you and banned me. its stuff like that... i'm not going to hold my opinion idle even if my opinion is in major disagreeance with the majority. (by the way, im not gay and have a gf in case you were wondering)

You can't get along with everyone.

Stand up for what you believe is right.

Have fun, there are a lot of personalities here.
