I play a lot all over, depends where the reload bonuses are 🙂

I'd recommend staying away from Party for a newbie, since there are so many bad players.

I play at PokerStars. I chose it over Party Poker for the simple reason that its UI looked prettier than PPs. It's fun for $10 SnGs. I finish in the money 48% of the time and earn 31% back, but since I play such small stakes it really doesn't feel like I've won anything.

I play at FullTilt.com. It's seems ok but it is the only site I've played on so I do not have anything to compare it to. Also, you can play for real money or play money.

PokerStars.net is the best place to earn money. Plus you won't get hit with popup ads every 10 seconds wanting you to deposit money.

Virtually all the sites offer play money games (I would say all but someone is bound to dredge up some site that spreads one real money table & call me a liar), so you can pretty much take your pick.

PokerStars is excellent, their customer support is absolutely top notch. Best in the business by most people's account.

I find Party to be annoying, though they are beta testing a new client that will make them very attractive for heavy multi-tablers.

Absolute is good for constant bonuses, but the games suck. Rocky tables, bonuses take a long time to clear at low levels.

Paradise is a decent site for really low limits (haven't played there since I left the nanos), the crowd there tends to be friendly.

Some sites seem to attract those who take poker seriously - Absolute, FullTilt, the Primas, & a few others are probably not a good place for beginners. PokerStars has somewhat of a reputation for tougher games, but I find myself playing there most often. I would also recommend avoiding the ex-Party skins if you're a newbie.

Absolutely! Make sure you find the site with the best players and start there. If you?re really lucky, perhaps you can be fortunate enough to have Ivey and Brunson on your left.
