Online Photo Backup / Online Storage Services

I have a problem with too many pictures spread across multiple PC's. Previously I would create DVD's with backups of the pictures every so often, but I really need to find a good online place to store the photos.

What does everyone else use to backup their photos? I need to consolidate pictures (probably 30-40 gb currently) from my two laptops and an old harddrive from an old PC. I don't need one of the "automated" online backup services, I just need a place to manually upload a copy of the photo's and then either delete them from my laptop or keep a local copy of them on an external harddrive or something. Anyone have any suggestions on a service that I could do this with?

30-40 GB is probably going to be pretty expensive unless you abuse an "unlimited" web hosting account (you may be able to get away with that, I know someone who uses 1and1 for offsite backup).

You definitely want to keep a local copy though. What I did was set up a share on one of my computers, and all of our pictures go in there. We sort them into folders as they're put in, and everything stays in one place instead of being scattered around on different computers. Then I have that backed up to another hard drive in my house, and I keep another reasonably up to date copy at my wife's office.

External HD for me. I spent a couple weeks trying to back up my ex's pics when yahoo shut down their photo site. I will never mess with online storage again.

I still have some of her modeling pics. I guess the photographer like to take nudes
