I think MS are releasing a music service in Europe sometime soon. Not sure about anything else.

emusic is the best. Flat fee. However, it is strongly geared towards electronic music, from what I've seen - which is excellent for me.

It seems that each song is $.99 US or more. I don't know how it is in the US, but here in Canada I can buy pretty well any CD I want for about $18 CDN or less. Why would I pay ~$15 US for a CD when I can get one for less, and that actually comes ON a CD with the case and so forth?

How much do CD's cost in the states?

my thing is i usually like about 3-4 songs on any given CD. rather than buy an entire cd for $15 i would rather download the mp3 and burn it on cd with the other songs i want.

If RIAA is bitching about piracy, why can't they set up an online music downloading service. Or they still want people to pay 18 dollars for one good song on a cd.. what a rip off..

amen to that!!!

is it safe to assume remixes of popular songs wont be "tagged" by the RIAA? I wouldn't dare touch some of the new songs from michelle branch and 50 cent, but what if there was a remix that was never released on the radio and such
