online movie clips show up blue and green blocks, why?

i think its anytime that i watch a clip that uses windows media player online the video is blue and green blocks and spots and you can barely make out what happens in the clip. it happens the most when trying to view clips at espn.com or any major sports team website.

anyone know how to fix this?

open WMP. go to tools-options-performance tab, click advanced button. uncheck 'use video mixing renderer' and see if that helps
