Online Guitar Lessons?

I just bought and electric guitar and don't have the time or the money to take private lessons. I'm looking for some good websites that can really dumb it down since I've never picked up in instrument in my life. I don't mind having to spend some money but I want to make sure that someone recomends it.

guitarschool.net is pretty good. I did it a while back and learned a bit. If you want to keep learning you might want to pick up GuitarPort and subscribe to the online service.

You really should do a few lessons with a real person at the start, otherwise you might develop irreversible bad habits.

Remind me later on today if I haven't posted back, a friend of mine took lessons for a few months from this guy in California. He's done some work some famous bands, and is trained in classical guitar but plays it all. All lessons are done over video (I think AIM?) And he has videos/clips on his site of performances. It was REALLY well priced too, something like $60 bux? Totally interactive.

Let me know if you are interested, and I can get his website from my friend in the evening today.
