What's the story with online console gaming? Xbox.. PS2.. Gamecube.
I'm mainly interested in the XBox.
I know that gamespy has that free xbox tunnel software, but of course, since most people run it off their DSL/Cable connections with crappy upstream bandwidth, only 2-3 people can play in a game.
Does XBox-Live use some type of dedicated server system to solve this problem and allow lots of people to play at once?
I'd love to get some of these racing games and play a bunch of people online. I like playing racing games much more on a console, even if the same game is offered on a PC. Strange.. huh...
Thanks.
