Online college - count as part time?

Being 21, I was dropped from my father's health insurance...I can stay on if I can prove that I'm unable to work (which I can prove), and I'm in part time or full time college.

Obviously, contacting the ins co would make complete sense, but I can't until tonight, and I'm impatient. 😛

So, if I enroll in classes through an online college, is that generally counted as at least part time?

Thanks.

It would be considered part time, as long as it's a legit college. However, online colleges legit or not cost a lot of money.

Either way you need to go through the college to verify that you are a student. The letter usually has to come directly from the school, as opposed to just sending a copy of your schedule.

Been in this situation a few times and understand why they can't take just a copy of the schedule, but it's still pretty annoying to have to wait in line at the registrar's office just to get them to mail off the confirmation.

Yeah, I have no doubt it'll be a pain, but I'll get the long process started ASAP if it's a possibility. I need this insurance.
