Online Car Auctions

I would never do something like that online. If you're going to do auctions, check out the cars earlier in the week when they allow potential buyers to check em out, and go down there on the day of the auction.

Just a FYI- My friend worked at a car dealer and he told me that dealers get first dibs at all the auctions. In other words, don't expect to get a Ferrari for $10k, because if the car was worth something the dealers would have snatched it up and put it up for sale. When you go to a police auction, you're selecting from cars that dealers didn't want.

I believe that, but how do you even get to know where these auctions are?

Just find out the number to your local impound lot and ask them. I don't remember how much it is, but you have to pay to get into them here.
