i heard of chargesmart.com and find it appealing because I could use my Chase RewardsVisa (linked to my checking account) and rack up points fairly quickly if I paid my mortgage and car loan using that card (vs. checks). Anyone have any experiences with these services? Recommendations?

Hmm. Chargesmart.com's 2.9% transaction fee negates the benefits of a rewards card, are there any other cheaper services out there?

Nope. Unless you are paying the merchant directly, any 3rd party will charge a "convenience fee" for you to use a CC to make a bill payment.
