Onkyo TX-SR705 Klipsch RB-61

I picked up my 705 yesterday along with a pair of Klipsch RB-61's for front L/R. I only have the two speakers upfront for now as my budget will allow more speakers will be purchased. I printed out a FAQ from avsforum and everything on the first few posts and will read through tonight but anyone have any recomendations on settings.

I have RCA to my receiver from 360, directv box, and HD-A35. and video going from each unit to the tv. ordering hdmi cables and such from monoprice soon.

I assume that the best setting would to stay in stero mode. but to get it pretty loud the volume level is about 8~10 range as i cycle through all of the modes. is that normal level?

We can't answer that as it is dependant on the room, the speakers and the amplifier among other things. Change any of these and those settings will change.

Make sure your receiver has your speakers set as large though. Or at most 40 Hz with the small setting.

Run the Audyssey setup. Page 55 of your manual.

Also, page 86 of your manual, set 'em to 'Full Band."
