Hey Guys,
If I was to get either, I would get them both for approx the same price($300 or so). Anyone have any experience with both? I've heard nothing but good things and don't know which to get :-x

It depends to some extent on what features you need, but I looked into those two receivers and the Denon was ahead of the Onkyo on my list. Both are good receivers.

we just picked up a denon 2900, denon 3802, klipsch Reference 7 front speakers, RSW 12 subwoofer, Reference 3 center channel and rear speakers...

😀

This has what to do with what I was asking?

I'd go with the 600, as it should be a little cleaner, since it was a decently higher up receiver, it's just a model late is all, as opposed to the 1803, which is still new, and is the successor to the 1802, which is Denon's low-end mid-fi receiver.

Do any of the input/output capabilities help you decide? I was looking at the 1802/2802 as well, but went with H/K...which you could also get for around $300.

Denon. Their sound, quality, and reliability surpass none! 🙂

Did you mean "...are surpassed by none"? If you didn't then I really made a mistake in the reciever I picked. 🙂

I have a pretty high-end Onkyo at home (don't remember the model) and I'm not too pleased with it.

I bought it to replace an older Onkyo that didn't have surround sound and thought it would sound as good but unfortunately, it doesn't. Sounds very flat. The older one was much more dynamic. I should have just stuck with the old one and gotten a surround sound processor instead.

Yeah I have the SR600 from last year's CC black friday price mistake... great piece of equipment... but last year. If for the same price, get the Denon.

IMO The Onkyo has cleaner sound (I have one) and the bandwidth for the component video passthru is wider (I think Denon's is too low for HDTV).
