Onkyo SR606 Trouble

New to the forum and new owner of a Onkyo TX-SR606. It works great soundwise. The exception is the component output to my HDTV CRT. There are narrow dim vertical lines on the screen that are more visible with bright colors. They are completely stationary and show up on ever high definition station. The source to the receiver is a standard Comcast Scientific Atlanta HD cable box. When I connected the cable box directly to the TV the output was fine. I want to say it is the receiver. I am not sure if there is anything I can try. I tried different cables and plugging into diffierent inputs on the TV but got the same result. Everything is wired using component cables and the output to the TV is 1080i. My DVD player doesn't appear to have the same problem but it isn't doing 1080i either so maybe its not as clear. Any suggestions before I contact Onkyo.

Are you sure it's in 1080i mode?

How is the cable box connected to the receiver?

Is there an overscan setting on the cable box / receiver? I know that NBC has a green vertical bar on their HD programming that can be seen with a tuner with no overscan.

I have a SR605, but haven't used component on it, just HDMI

The cable box is an Scientific Atlanta 1080i which is connected through component cables to the receiver. The receiver is connnected through component to a Panasonic CT-34wx54 (34" widescreen CRT). I have looked through all the settings on every device and nothing jumps out at me.

Also wanted to add that I couldn't find overscan settings on any of the devices. Does anyone know if they are available on the cable box? I have called a local Onkyo service center and they are going to try and reproduce the problem when I bring it in.

Can you try HDMI from the cable box to the receiver and the component to the TV?

Or maybe HDMI the whole way (HDMI->DVI if the TV only has DVI)
